Macy's Summer Update

I am so excited to be blogging before 10 o'clock! So far this summer, the best gaurantee for an early bedtime is an afternoon spent at the pool. Macy went to bed at 6:30 tonight! Now I may not be so excited if she wakes up in the middle of the night ready to start her day! Macy has spent her summer smiling! She is the happiest baby I have ever seen. Although she has become a Momma's girl in the last three weeks. She is not so happy if we are apart which doesn't bode well for a return to school. But we'll worry about that when it gets here.

Parker loves to read as does Macy! She loves to sink her teeth into a good book! :)
This is how Macy saw Grant's Farm! Although truth be told, she was held most of the time. But I had to put her down so I could get her picture.

Where is time going? We got out Parker's learning home which Macy was happy to enjoy! Having a big brother who shares is so nice!
Macy's favorite part of Ballwin Days was the fireworks. She wasn't scared at all.

Macy enjoyed the baby section at the Magic House, but big brother was eager to move on to the slide where Mommy's arms enjoyed a quick break at the bottom of the slide.

Grandmaw, Grandad, Uncle JB, Bobbie, and Pa made it over for the fourth. We had a great time! You can see that Grandmaw and Bobbie made sure Macy had plenty to eat before the fireworks started.

Parker's Summer Update

Oh my goodness! I can't believe it has taken me over a month to sit down and blog! But to be honest, I would be in bed now if it weren't for some gentle nudges from Texas to update! The first month of summer vacation has zoomed by! There is so much to share that I have decided to break it down by child :). Here is what has been happening from Parker's perspective: He attended Books In Bloom for four weeks (missing three days due to a fever that would never end). Rockwood School District offers this program for incoming kindergardeners. It was good practice for both Parker and Mommy! Here he is with his teacher, Ms. Sheriff.
June also found Parker getting his eyes checked for kindergarden and seeing the ENT. Thankfully, he has great eyesight unlike his mom and dad. The ENT requires another visit in September. Have you noticed Parker talking like he is stuffed up? Well, we didn't but the ENT did so we will be back in Sept.
Of course, it wouldn't be summer vacation without a trip to Grant's Farm to feed the goats. We have already been twice!

We finally made it to Ballwin Days. Although Parker enjoyed the rides alot, his favorite (besides the fireworks of course) was the fire demonstration. They had two dorm rooms set up. One with a set of sprinklers and one without. The fire was put out in less than 5 seconds with the sprinklers. After 3 minutes, you can see what the other dorm room looked like. Scary, but Parker loved it! He especially enjoyed watching the firefighters come to the rescue!

We've also been to the Magic House. My favorite part is now the roof top garden. I wonder what plant this seed will become!

Parker enjoyed the bubble room too.

The last week of June found Parker counting down the days until Jillian returned. Every morning he reminded me that she was with Nini in Iowa. It was all I could do to keep him from being on her doorstep when she returned. They were so busy playing with each other on the fourth that this was all I could snap.

Hopefully, you will see Macy's version of June tomorrow. But with my recent track record, that isn't a promise. :)
